My Mom was recently diagnosed with stage 1 cholangiocarcinoma. Thankfully we caught it extremely early on but unforseen complications rendered surgical options far to risky at her age. The next step is meeting with a team to look at radiation and any other options that will keep this at bay and buy us as much time as possible with her. Unfortunately with these options come extensive appointments out of town, treatments out of town, travel, hotels, missed work and all the other things that are involved. Both her and I are on very fixed income and the added burden of these new expenses is the LAST thing I want her to have to worry about. I just want her to focus on treatment and recovery. I can't shoulder it alone and if I could believe me I would. This is where you come in. As much as I hate to ask for financial assistance I know I can count on my friends and family to help my mom when she needs it. This amount is what I have roughly calculated to be the bare minimum needed right now. I know times are tight for everyone but any amount you can donate is appreciated more than I can ever convey.
