Blessings for Brandy

Brandy Byrd Mason is a resident of Burnsville in Yancey County NC. For nearly two decades Brandy has been a dedicated wife and mother to her husband, Scott, and their two children, Hannah and Noah. Along side her commitment to her family and friends is her commitment to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
18 years ago, when Hannah was born at 27 weeks, Brandy's world was turned upside down. Brandy met this challenge with grace and strength and after years of perseverance, Hannah is now walking with assistance. Brandy has helped Hannah overcome many obstacles that drs. said would not be possible.
About a year ago Brandy was faced with a new challenge, breast cancer. Since the initial diagnosis the cancer has metastasized to other areas including the spine and brain. Unfortunately, at this stage the cancer is neither curable nor will it go into remission. At this point, the doctor’s goal is to improve and maintain Brandy’s quality of life.
I think this is the time for Us to help Brandy with some of her obstacles.
We come from small communities and a small, close knit high school. I Believe in us. I think we can make a difference.
Many of us have watched Brandy meet this new challenge with the grace and poise that anyone knowing her has come to expect. At the same time, the medical bills have piled up and hence this GoFundMe page.
Brandy has (at last count) just under 2,400 friends on Facebook. If each of these friends gave just 5 dollars, the $10,000 goal would be blown away. This page is being made in conjunction with Brandy’s birthday on June 21st, and this would be the perfect time and opportunity to show support. So please, take some time to reflect, and give as you are lead and able. Thank you and God Bless!
