Arabella is our 9-year-old niece living in St Paul, MN. She was born with a kidney condition and lives with chronic kidney disease. Right now, she is in end-stage kidney failure and living off a dialysis machine. Throughout her short life so far, she has been in and out of hospitals and fighting to just be normal. Our family thought she was given that chance in 2020 when she was transplanted with a kidney from a deceased donor. Despite being told that a living donor would be a better fit, her parents desperately accepted the deceased kidney. That kidney lasted short of 2 years. She has been on dialysis ever since, 3 times a week 4 hours a day. Her quality of life has been degraded to being tied down to a machine and yet, she waited patiently for another match. For over a year, she has matched ZERO candidates, both living and deceased. We watched as dialysis sucked away what was left of Bella.

Finally, we got good news!

Our family would like to share that Arabella’s dad, Tony, was found to be a 100% perfect match to be her living kidney donor. To be a 100% match is a scientific miracle! Bella and Tony are scheduled for a live kidney donation at the end of June. Please help us pray for both father and daughter as they embark on this lifechanging journey together. Since Bella’s mom has been her fulltime caretaker, Tony has been their only source of income. We want to alleviate some of the financial burden for Arabella’s family as Tony takes the time off work to recover from his surgery and Mom takes the time to care for them both.
