A week ago, Kylie underwent a minor heart surgery, or so we thought.  We were advised that the risks were low and that it was in her best interest. Her arteries were narrow and her heart was not pumping enough blood to the lower half of her body. We were advised that the surgery was necessary in order for her to grow.  Her surgery went well initially, but it took a turn for the worst.  Her little body did not resist. She ended up losing a lot of blood and went into a coma.  She suffered severe brain damage and then her organs started to fail until she passed away peacefully on January 27th at 11:30am.  

This was completely unexpected and devastating. 

This Go Fund Me account is set up on behalf of the mother, Danielle DeVault, who is distraught at the loss of her only child.  She will not be returning to work soon. Danielle's husband is being deployed for a year.  She did not have life insurance for Kylie. No one is ever prepared to lose a child.  She was only 7. A child is supposed to outlive the parent. This was completely unexpected. The family is devastated, especially Danielle.  Please  find it in your heart to help this mother with her daughter's funeral expenses.
