Hi, my name is Trina Becerril, I’m the youngest and the only girl of my siblings. I am putting together this gofundme in hopes to raise enough money to have my brother the funeral he deserves. My brother Matthew Becerril (27 years old) was in a terrible tragedy caused by the mother of his young children ages 5 and 1 years old. On March 25th, 2023 early morning my brother and his former girlfriend were coming home after raving at Beyond Wonderland. After getting into an accident causing major damage to only the bumper in the parking area of the rave, my brother proceeded to drive to Adelanto where my other brother was babysitting his children. Upon arriving and picking up his children his baby mother snatched the keys from him and started driving erratically back to our parents home where they also lived, nearly crashing into 2 parked vehicles outside of my brothers home. My brother, sister-in-law, and cousin who were watching his children decided to follow them home to make sure they got home safely since she took off before they got a chance to drive them home themselves. After arriving at my parents home, his former girlfriend dropped him off and left with the children in the vehicle. She then started to come back minutes later because she called Matthew and said my Godson needed milk. My brother grabbed the milk and went outside realizing my brother, sister-in-law, and cousin all followed him home. Our father had also just arrived home from work. Matthew and my brother started discussing that they had followed them home to make sure they got home safely. His former girlfriend then comes back driving erratically again, turning down our street corner fast and stops in the middle of the street. Matthew walked up to her window and handed her the gallon of milk but also trying to convince her to come inside and stay home because of many reasons such as her already being intoxicated, the vehicle being wrecked from earlier at the rave, and it being earlier morning. My father, brother, sister-in-law and cousin all tried convincing her as well to park the car and take the boys inside. After countless minutes of trying to convince her to stay, Matthew then stood in front of the vehicle trying to persuade her to at least leave their children. At this point she NEVER put the car in park, instead she started taunting him by putting both her feet on the gas and the brake at the same time. She was pushing both pedals simultaneously as the vehicle started to bump into my brother not caring if the vehicle hit him or not. Within a split second she let her foot off the brake and floored the gas pedal pushing Matthew with the vehicle which caused him to jump on top of the hood in fear of being ran over. He then started hitting the windshield yelling for her to stop because he was on top of the hood. She was driving too fast to slow down in order to turn so she slammed on her brakes to make the turn. In doing so, my brother hit his head on her windshield knocking him unconscious causing him to roll off of her vehicle and all his dead weight hitting the asphalt. SHE LEFT HIM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET WITHOUT STOPPING FOR SOMEONE SHE CLAIMS SHE LOVES AND SHARES TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN WITH. Far worse, after she left, she came back and watched him as he laid there in the street unconscious. She STILL did not try to see if he was okay instead she left again, or so we thought because she told a family member who stated that she “actually only parked down the block and hid there until she watched all the cops and the ambulance with him in it leave.) His head hit the windshield and the concrete so hard it caused him to have severe brain trauma. This led him to continuously fight for his life since the incident. My family and I expected a miracle of him to survive when all took a turn June 24th, 2023 and he succumbed to his injuries. Matthew was a hardworking man who took on the role of working a full time job, tattooing, cutting hair on his spare time, and caring for his children. He was an amazing father and always took care of his family. He was very open hearted to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. There was never a dull moment with him. He was hardheaded but a loving upbeat person. He was never a person who would put anyone in danger especially not his family. He was SOMETHING to everyone who met him. He made a difference in people’s lives. HE LOVED HIS LIFE. HE LOVED BEING A DAD, A SON, A BROTHER, A NINO, AN UNCLE AND A FRIEND TO EVERYONE. you were a GREAT MAN MATTHEW ANTHONY BECERRIL!! We will get you the justice you deserve. My brother is sitting at a morgue while this woman is still living her life free with no remorse for what she did to the father of her children due to a senseless act. A woman my brother loved so much and even wanted to marry. My brother will never be able to see his boys grow to be great men, but our family will make sure they get everything and more in life. Your name will never be forgotten. I promise.
