Every mother anxiously waits for the moment when their warm, wriggling bundle of joy will be placed in her arms after 9 months of building a bond. From the moment we discover that we are carrying life there is an intense feeling of just overwhelming joy and love. We sing, talk, and touch baby while enjoying sloppy belly kisses from excited siblings and silly daddies. As baby grows stronger in us, so does our love, it is inevitable. We just know that the moment our baby is placed in our arms and we gaze into their eyes that we will just be enraptured by love. But unfortunately sometimes it doesn’t happen like that. Sometimes things happen suddenly and tragically and though some moms experience the beauty of pregnancy, they don’t get a chance to continue bonding with their baby. That is what happened to my best friend, Kareesha.
Heaven gained another angel on February 10, 2016. Baby Charity was expected to grace us with her presence on today, February 15, 2016 via c-section but during a routine appointment, doctors discovered that there was no longer a heartbeat. This was unexpected and devastating news as Charity had been healthy the entire pregnancy. There weren’t any signs of defects, diseases or any other underlying issues. Doctors remain baffled.
Kareesha and Joe were sent home to prepare to deliver baby Charity on February 12, 2016 stillborn. But they didn’t give up in believing for a miracle for Charity. They prayed, spoke life and scripture over her and asked others to intercede on their behalf. The couple spent those two days deepening their bond with Charity, each other and God. They never gave up on baby Charity and more importantly they never gave up on God.
Charity Audrey Nataasha Ramsey was delivered stillborn on Friday, February 12, 2016. She was perfect in every way and shared her mother’s beautiful features. She was deeply loved and her presence, though never truly experienced will be sorely missed.
As difficult as this has already been the family now has to prepare and pay for funeral costs, and asking for help just adds another layer of discomfort. Charity’s home going service is fast approaching, Friday February 19, 2016 to be exact and they need assistance with the funeral expenses. I humbly ask that you help lift the financial burden of this off of my grieving friend and her husband by donating anything that you can. Any and all donations will be welcomed and greatly appreciated.
The family is also asking that instead of anyone buying flowers, though they would be appreciated, could you please donate those funds towards a burial plot and grave marker? The burial plot and marker will be at Onslow memorial park cemetery in Richlands, NC and you can add funds to the account by simply calling (910) [phone redacted] and using Kareesha or Joseph Ramsey’s name.
I thank you in advance for your generosity and I ask that you keep Joe and Kareesha in your prayers as they cope during this difficult time.
Love,
Gereneicia
