Xavier Pina, senior at Palmview High School, has recently been accepted to over 17 universities across the nation, including 7 Ivy League schools and top institutions such as Cal Tech, Vanderbilt, Rice, Northeastern, and Johns Hopkins.
These schools have recognized his academic excellence, including his merits as a UIL Academic Math Regional Champion, National AP Scholar, UIL Division One State Marimba Soloist, and National Hispanic Recognition Scholar.
Before making the decision of a lifetime, Xavier would like to visit choice campuses and learn about the student life and culture, including the opportunities that await him. Unfortunately, his economic situation impedes him from traveling to these prestigious institutions before his official decision day on May 3, 2021.
