Xavier’s Little Heart
This week, our little friend Xavier is due to have his Fontan surgery. This is a major open heart surgery, which completes Xavier’s surgical path that he has been on his he was born.
Xavier was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a severe congenital heart defect in which the left side of the heart is underdeveloped. In his first week out of the womb, this little trooper had his first open heart surgery, and then had another as a baby. This will be his third open heart surgery.
We’ve set up this page because a number of people have asked how they can support Michael and Leanne through this trial.
The money that is raised will go towards covering travel and lodging expenses, food, and household expenses to support Michael and Leanne, as they take time off work to care for Xavier through his recovery and keep up with the usual family needs and routines.
