I have the pleasure of working with Xavier. When you meet him, you’re captivated by his energy and charm. He’s always laughing and finding the light in any situation. Even a difficult and scary situation that he lives with every day that many would have no idea he has.
Xavier lives with an very progressed case of Keratoconous. He knew nothing of it until he was 25 years old.
Keratoconus is a rare corneal condition that if goes untreated with a procedure called Crosslinking can result in many serious outcomesincluding loss of vision.
Until Xavier came to work at our clinic, no one had ever expressed the seriousness of this condition to him. We have diligently monitored him and in just three months it had progressed greatly, causing him the desperate need to have Crosslinking.
The almost immediate need for this treatment has caused it difficult to plan financially for it. He is scheduled for January 13th. He is lucky to have good health insurance that covers a lot of it. But he needs some help getting together his portion of it.
Xavier is always the first to lend a hand to help anyone in need. Let’s show him that when a community stands together, great things happen!
