Xavier Hargrove's Recovery Fund

Friends, Family, Colleagues, and Community-at-large:

As friends of the Hargrove Family, we are appealing to your hearts and giving spirit for the support of an amazing man and his family.

Xavier Hargrove is a man of faith who above all, is a people person and has never met a stranger. His ability to always know how to encourage and motivate others, from all walks of life, is his gift. He has an innate talent to make you feel like the only person in the room - it’s magnetic!

Xavier’s pride and joy are his beautiful daughters. As a father, he has attended every competition, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. activities, college move-in, gymnastics tournaments, and all of the routine activities of an active parent. He is a girl dad. Nothing is more precious to him than his wife Joshlyn, and especially his daughters, Zoë Grace and Sarah.

As some of you know, the night of October 4, 2021, shook Xavier and his family at their very core. What started as a typical evening ended with Xavier enduring a massive stroke at his Mableton home, which required a craniectomy and as a result, he spent 35 days in Intensive Care. He has transitioned from the ventilator to a tracheostomy and is breathing on his own.

Though the doctors did not offer the family much hope as to what they should expect for the future, they remained prayerful and held to the belief that he would make it. He has already defied the odds of science and continues to make strides in his recovery. Xavier takes his journey day by day with a prayerful, patient, and determined countenance. His wife and two daughters bolster him through each step.

No doubt, many of you who know Xavier personally can immediately recall numerous times that you have shared with him as a team member, colleague, and friend. He has devoted his time, treasure, and talent with all of the wonderful organizations that he finds near and dear to his heart. Some factions of his beloved community include: The Villanova Alumni Association, The Westminster Schools, Trinity School, World Changers Church International, Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Mt. Paran Church, and many more. He is still fondly known for these memorable moments:

Xavier is laser-focused on his rehabilitation and recovery. He is and always has been a fighter and faces these next goals with perseverance as a patient at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. He and the family are looking forward to the transition to outpatient care and his return home.

It is for this reason that this Go Fund Me has been created. We will help provide resources for the innumerable necessities to aid in Xavier’s next phase as a stroke survivor. Just a few of the immediate requirements (not covered by insurance) are:
