Hello friends and family, this is my nephew and Ahijado(God son), Xavier Carrasco. Xavier was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy when he was a young boy. Xavier (pronounced Havier) loved playing baseball. His disease progressed to a point that he is now wheel chair bound and dependent on his parents and care giver for almost everything. Through it all Xavier has kept an incredible upbeat attitude. A few years ago his parents were able to purchase a van with a wheelchair lift. Unfortunately the lift has reached full capacity and is no longer able to handle the weight of Xavier (growing into a young man) and his wheelchair. This fundraising campaign is for a new lift with greater capacity and a modification to the van height clearance. The estimate for a new lift, van modification and labor is approximately $20,000.
