It is with such a broken heart that I post that our sweet, courageous, beautiful big-hearted boy took his last breath today. His fight against cancer was strong to the absolute very end. He knew what was waiting for him on the other side. His mom’s fight never ended as well as she never left his side. His grandmas created an inseparable bond and rekindled a friendship that only God could put together. Over the last few weeks, We listened to music and sang hymns at his bedside. In behalf of him and our families, I thank you all for the millions of prayers, cards, messages, and money that was sent to keep his warrior appetite at bay and also help get all the things he needed along the way. I don’t know why such a special young man had to suffer so much but he did it with a smile. Even on days his pain was so unbearable, he smiled and thanked anyone who tended to his side. He made such an impression on the hospital staff that’s been with him this past year. These last few weeks, they’ve come before and after shifts to make sure he was ok and just be with him because it was such a blessing to be with him. His little jokes, that never-ending smile, his big heart that knew and appreciated every little bit of love he was given. I’m so sad the world has lost such a big and beautiful heart but we know what we had, we’re thankful and so blessed to have had him while we have. He’s always been our little piece of heaven on Earth but today God called him back. I hope to touch and bless as many people as he did in his young and short-lived life but I also rest in the hope that his last breath here was his first breath in the arms of his Heavenly Father and his father whom he’s always asked about. I’m not one to ever ask for help, but we want to make sure he is laid to rest where and how he asked his mom to plan his final arrangements. Below is a link to a memorial fundraiser to help alleviate the cost of his final arrangements. Again, I thank you for loving him and showing our families the love, support, encouragement, and prayers that have held us in our deepest and darkest moments. Please continue to pray for his mom, and our families and we continue to get through the days ahead. -The Robledo/Rosalez family.
