Help Xander play The Pearl Harbor Memorial Event!

Hi, my name is Laurie, and I'm trying to help my son, Xander, raise money so he can go to Hawaii with his High School band NEXT year to play at The Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade. We come from a family of professional musicians, and an extravagant trip like this is not in our budget. While the school does offer up fundraising opportunities for the students, they are few. Xander is not yet in High School, so he is a little out of the loop, as is his mom. I have tried, though! I did go to sign him up to make $50 by selling concessions at the next sportsball event, but those slots went within the first hour. I am usually teaching so I don't have time to be on my computer checking email, and I volunteer for many other things my kids do, this has just set my head to spin - not exorcist spin - but lose my mind because we have missed so many opportunities because he is not yet in that band.

Xander needs $2400 to go. If we raise that, great! We are golden. If we raise more, I will donate it to the band to spread out to the other kids to help offset their costs. Though I did hear one mom sold enough donuts to send her kid. That's a lot of sugar... sigh.

A little about Xander: He has played saxophone for five years. Within those five years, he has won 5 gold medals from the Royal Conservatory of Music - one for each level he presented. He has won local competitions and played in his jazz band and a few pieces in his 8th-grade band. For his 8th grade band, he plays bassoon. He has played for three years and is already quite accomplished. He is in the top youth orchestra in our county and was already selected and performed in masterclasses with world-renowned artists. He is a killer musician. He is also kind of quiet, so I'm going to shout for him. If you have a dollar to spare, we could use it. That's all.
