Early yesterday morning the Henry's house in NC went up in flames as Jeremy and Scott Henry barely escaped.
Around 4 am a fire started and thank God Scott awoke and ran down stairs to wake Jeremy the only escape was the basement door. Jeremy ran upstairs to get the three dogs but it was so smokey Jeremy was unable to get them. Going back downstairs to find his dad he exited the house yelling for Scott. Hearing his dad yelling he came around the back side of the house to find his dad on the ground. Scott had gone back upstairs to find the dogs and was trapped by the fire with the only exit being the bathroom window on the third floor. Jumping out falling through the fire face down in the hot gravel Scott managed to scoot himself away from the flames with badly broken leg, a cracked skull, fractured face and burned back side. As Jeremy came upon this he picked up his dad and carried him through the woods to the closest neighbor who drove them to the closet hospital.
Jeremy was released with light burn to his chest and burned feet. Scott was airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Scott has a long road ahead of him coming out of his first surgery on his leg late last night. Pray for wisdom for the doctors as they treat his face & leg. Thankful no damage to brain and burns will self heal only 2nd degree is good for what he endured. Healing forJeremy emotionally & psychologically. Everything was lost in the home. As well as our precious 3 puppies.
We would love to stand together with support and love and help this family financially since they lost their home, dogs, will have major medical bills as Scott will have a long recovery period over the next several months, hotel and food and living costs so the family can be close to Scott.
Any amount is such a blessing to this family as they take it one day at a time. If you are unable to donate, we would love for you to continually pray for the Henry's.
Thank you so much and we will keep you updated as we hear more.
