Stanley Poole's Memorial

Stan and Jackie are among the first people I had the pleasure of meeting shortly after I moved to Fort Myers, FL. It didn't take long for me to realize that they were truly a special couple, probably the kindest and most authentic people I've ever encountered with Stan often time being the voice of reason while "Wacky-Jackie" assumes a more free spirited approach to life.  They were a great pair who truly loved each other and looking forward to their future together when Stan passed away unexpectedly at the home he and Jackie shared on March 4, 2021, just 12 days shy of his 58th birthday.

Stan touched many lives in a lot of different ways. He went from a suit and tie career to a jeans and flannel motel owner in the far northern regions of Minnesota. His adventures led him to the south to settle in Fort Myers, where he made a lot of dear and close friends. A few constants for Stan that immediately stood out were his love for teaching and driving thirst for knowledge. He had a way of breaking down some of the most confusing information and relaying it in a way that was easily understood. He and Jackie also had a passion for travel. While on a trip to Jerusalem, not only did Stan and Jackie get engaged, Stan rededicated his life to Christ by being baptized in the River Jordan.

Stan's "Minnesota-nice" personality will be sorely missed by many friends, family, his fiancé Jackie, and his dogs who are waiting by the door for him to come home.

Donations in lieu of flowers towards a memorial for Stan will go toward dedicating a bench at Lakes Park in his memory, and his memorial costs.
