Hello and thank you for reading Sam's story. Sam is the lovely woman you see on the right-side of the photo. I am her sister, Alex. I haven't seen that bright smile of hers for five days now since she was admitted to the ER on Monday night and then hospitalized for her attempt to end her own life.
I reach out for help because Sam and I are our own family of two. We were adopted together from South Korea as toddlers but our new home was an unhappy one which has left its indelible mark on one of us. I am desperate to help her regain her footing into the world and to help ease her path. Being in the hospital, while critical for her health has its setbacks in the real world as you might imagine. Sam struggles to set her mind on prioritizing her health when she worries about how to pay her bills while out of work. If you can help me to support her financially in this time of need, you'd be helping me to get back that smile too.
