Xadrian has experienced a life changing event during his second open heart surgery at the age of 4. Prior to that he was walking,running, going to school, independent. During his 2nd open heart surgery he experienced a major stroke(caused by lack of oxygen to his brain during bypass) which caused severe brain damage. I am grateful my son is able to talk and seems to have good cognition, however he was left with some major physical limitations. He will need special equipment to continue his adventures as a kiddo. Most of the items are covered by insurance like wheel chair, bath chair but not other equipment. A tricycle is something I’m sure he’d enjoy this summer to able to participate in a fun ride at the park or at grandmas or beach with his twin brother and 3 year old sister.
