Obituary
The late Thomas Morrison- commonly known as Doe Morris, was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa, on January 22, 1959, in the union of Mr. Mollay Morrison and Mrs. Saturday Morrison.

He attended Kroo Primary School and attained his high school education at Sierra Leone Government Model Secondary School. After leaving school he registered at the Sierra Leone Shipping Company, which was the agency of Elder Dempster lines in the U.K. he was an able-bodied seaman which enabled him to visit so many counties in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

He decided to quit the job after several years and came to the United States for the betterment of his parents and family. When he was in the United States, he first worked for Ace Group Digital Printing Company as the dispatcher. Due to his diligent work ethics, he was able to secure jobs for his fellow Sierra Leoneans.

When the company moved to New Jersey, he decided to stay in New York and secured another job at Volume Industries in Long Island City, Queens, NY, where he worked for more than 10 years until he fell ill which caused his demise on Thursday, December 8th, 2022.

He is survived by his wife, lsatu Morrison, children: Linda Morrison, Jack Morrison, and Edith Miller (stepdaughter). Brother: Mollay Morrison, sister: Mrs. Esther Moses, granddaughters Samira Daramy and Naeema Daramy, several cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, friends in New York and other states in America and abroad.

May light perpetually shine upon you, and may God grant you eternal rest. You will be missed, and your memory will be etched in our hearts forever.

FAREWELL, FAREWELL, FAREWELL.

from Jonny and his Volume Family
Tommy was the sweetest, kindest, most honest, and most reliable man I have ever met. His smile and energy were contagious for each person in his life. Let me tell you, Tommy wore a lot of hats… a family man, a loving and caring father to Jack and Linda, an annual Employee of the Year. He was a passionate man: watching/listening to the Yankees, Soccer, the Giants and oh how much he loved Ellie. Ellie and Tommy spent countless hours next to each other staring into each other’s eyes. The conversations those two had I can only imagine... Tommy was a soccer coach and that’s where he would bolt to after work on most nights. He loved coaching kids and traveling across the boroughs with them to play games.

James, Ken Widder, Max Cameron and I met Tommy almost 10 years ago. The rest is history. He was there every step of the way… never missing a moment, and burning through messenger bags along the way. From his flip phone to iPhone; he always called with the most-pressing information. Tommy took his job incredibly seriously and treated every single task as if it was the most important one. He never slowed down. The fastest man to ever walk New York City. He may have looked slow but let me tell you if you walked past Tommy you would feel a tornado blow you over. He was always early and always available.

If you have a favorite memory or picture to share of Tommy, please do.
