Lisa's Cancer Fight
Donation protected
My sister, Lisa, is one of the funniest, loving, and thoughtful people on the planet and she has been dealt a bad hand. Just before Christmas 2020, Lisa was hospitalized after leukemia cells were found in her blood. After several tests, including multiple bone marrow biopsies, she has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). This requires aggressive chemotherapy and will keep her out of commission for the foreseeable future. As her job requires interaction with multiple people on a daily basis, she will not be able to work while she is fighting this. The money that we are trying to raise will go to cover her lost wages while she is undergoing treatment. This does not include medical expenses, which will be ridiculously high as she has no insurance at the moment. Anything raised above the goal will be useful as well.
Lisa and I were raised by a single mother, Cindy. We were a tight 3-person unit. As a result, the three of us have been very close our entire lives. In April of 2019, our mother passed away unexpectedly at 55. This was a devastating blow to us, one we still struggle with today. Our family has been dealt another blow in the form of cancer in my baby sister. Lisa has always been a fighter and she can hold her own, just ask the boy who called her a "bitch" in the seventh grade. She needs to focus on this fight as she attempts to bloody cancer's nose too. She should not have to worry about where she will get the money to live through this. If you can, please help my sister. Thank you.
