Immigration fees
Donation protected
Sue and I have been together for 10 years, married for 3. We have been actively trying since October to work through the immigration process for me to move to Canada. We agreed together to start a go fund me to help raise some of the money quicker for the immigration fees as once the process has begun it will be a year before we can live together, so we would like to get it started soon than later. We have already put $2000 down to start the process, and will be putting more of our own money in as well. But we are asking for a little help to us get there faster as they won't start until we have all the money paid upfront first. The total cost is estimated around 5000$usd
Update June 24 2020
After 3 tries to meet we were finally able to talk to our Lawyer! Nik and I met with him virtually by phone, we talked about the paperwork that was still required (shockingly a lot in my opinion) but none the less, a couple of the things will take a month to get, then we can start signing the paperwork and submit. From that point it will take about a year before we can live together. We had another option of inland filing to get Nik a work Visa in Canada first, but we did not forsee a Pandemic crushing that idea as he would have to be in Canada and hasn't been able to realistically cross since March with the bridge being closed to non-essential travel.
