Eight years ago today (September 30th), Bella went under for her first surgery. She was diagnosed with brain cancer, a discovery that would stop most in their tracks. But not Bella. Eight years and four brain surgeries later, Bella has completed her bachelor's degree in acting at New World. She’s maintained an active career in theater; most strikingly, she never once missed an opportunity to care for and support the ones she loves. Her story and her spirit have been an inspiration to us all.

After a heroic eight years, now more than ever, Bella needs your help. This year we received the news that Bella’s cancer has progressed to stage 4 Glioblastoma. This news led to her 4th most recent surgery in April, followed by an intense cycle of chemotherapy. The cost of these copays is egregious enough, but to make matters worse, today, on the 8th anniversary of this fight, Bella faces the risk of losing her healthcare coverage because she has been unable to work. While we pursue alternative care options, there will inevitably be a gap in funding, and Bella will be expected to pay out of pocket during this period.

This is not the end!
