Love for Lily

If you know me, you know my dearest friend Gilda. She is the strongest bravest woman I know. Two months after losing her mother she is back at the hospital, this time by her newborn girls side. March 29th Lily Gilda Giron was born. Lily is a beautiful 10 pound baby girl with the strength of her mother. At less than two weeks old, Lily underwent emergency surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County for what was originally thought to be a blocked intestine. The surgery did not go as expected, the doctors found half of baby Lily’s intestines were dead and had to be removed. Lily is a fighter but has given Gilda and her husband Arnuf numerous scares. She will have to remain hospitalized for a minimum of ten (10) more weeks in order to stabilize her before they perform yet another surgery. As I watch my dear friend day in and day out at her daughters’ side it pains me that she will soon worry about finances & medical bills. During this time the last worry should be the financial strain of being away from Lily and having to go back to work. My wish is for my dear friend to be able to be at the hospital bedside of her newborn baby with less worry about finances. Lily needs both her parents by her side. I have received many messages from friends saying “I wish there was something I could do” and so I have made this page so we can show Gilda & her family support while they go through this difficult time.
