Mountain Meadow Mushroom Farm is the oldest and largest

organic mushroom farm in Southern California. We have always

prided ourselves in being the most environmentally friendly

farm in all of Southern California, as well as being able to

always provide the absolute best products at an affordable

price to everyone within our communities. 

COVID-19 hit and destroyed over 90% of our business. Most of

our customers were small mom and pop restaurants, markets,

and food manufactures who are now defunct due to the

pandemic. As such, our mushroom farm lost over 90% of the

business that has never come back. With this, Phoenix fungi

and Mountain Meadow Mushroom Farm have been working

together to rebuild together, focused on partnering with

environmentally responsible, social justice focused brands. 

Having survived as long as we have and rebuilding and branding

ourselves, we have almost made it back to a level of survival.

We have several pending contracts starting next year that will

allow us to survive and be able to keep our farmers employed,

some of whom have been working for us for over 40 years. We

just need to make it that long. Between the loans from the

bank and government, Phoenix Fungi and Mountain Meadow

Mushroom Farm needs $100,000 in order to stay in business

and to continue to operate long enough to continue and fulfill

the orders we have coming due in January and February. With

this we are asking each and every person who supports local

businesses, local agriculture, sustainable practices, and

sustainable businesses to please share and donate to our cause.

For every $50 donation we will deliver a grow bag for you to

grow your own mushrooms at home (or you can choose to

donate to a school for their science projects), and for every

$100 donation we will provide you a box of fresh organic

mushrooms, and a farm tour.
