Thank A Healthcare Hero is a unique, collaborative joint venture between community groups that support Australian frontline medics and healthcare workers during the spread of COVID-19.

Simply, our healthcare workers have experienced the toughest conditions since World War II.  The recent Omicron strain outbreak and varied Governments' responses have exacerbated the demands on an already stressed profession - they deserve our support and gratitude.

Groups including Kindness Coffees, Feed Our Medics, Facebook communities Adopt A Healthcare Worker and #ViralKindness Northern Beaches and famed Sydney café Cohab Coffee have joined forces to create a fundraiser that directs funds into projects aimed in 3 key directions:

* Nutrition:
Groups such as Feed Our Medics, Buy Them A Coffee, Short Black Night Shift and small businesses like Cohab Coffee do amazing work, providing invigorating coffees and nourishing food to healthcare workers during long, incessant shifts. 
* Mental Health:
We’re supporting charities such as Hand-n-Hand, who provide free, peer-to-peer mental health support for healthcare workers across Australia and New Zealand.
* Acts of Gratitude:
We’re collaborating with incredible Facebook communities Adopt A Healthcare Worker and #ViralKindness Northern Beaches to channel gifts and care packages to healthcare workers across Australia.

Every project we support will feature on this GoFundMe page alongside our accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.  Every dollar will be spent on goods and services that directly benefit healthcare workers in Australia.
