Medical Mission Trip to Dominican Republic

Hi - my name is Lovepriya Suthaharan and I am currently a second year Physician Associate student at Emory University in Georgia.

On December 20th, I plan on traveling to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic to help

the underserved community - bridge the gap between healthcare providers and minorities. Also, understand the importance of language barriers in healthcare.

Growing up in America as an immigrant has instilled me the humility to understand that I would not be where I am without the sacrifices and emotional support from my family, friends, and mentors. 

Through my experiences, I have learned the importance of embracing cultural competency, promoting diversity, and supporting cultural sensitivity as a future provider. 

I will be providing medical care for the underserved/low income communities and will love your support to make this happen! This holiday season will be different for me - I will be away from family and friends. I am looking forward to wrapping this year up by pouring myself into those in need in Dominican Republic!

Trip: December 20th-December 30th 2022

Also, percentage will be donated to the community - medical supplies, scrubs, and other necessities.
