Hi, my name is Anja, and I’m fundraising for my sweet cat, Zeus. This all started just this week, and it happened very quickly — he’s not just a pet, he’s family, and right now he’s fighting for his life.

Zeus has been struggling with what the vet suspects is chronic kidney disease, and now my vet also suspects an adrenal gland tumor that’s causing dangerously low potassium levels. This makes him weak, nauseous, and sometimes too tired to even lift his head. The vet explained that if it is a tumor, it could be pushing his body to waste potassium, driving up his blood pressure, and putting more strain on his kidneys.

Right now, Zeus needs:

• Daily potassium supplements to help his weakness and appetite

• Subcutaneous fluids (IV fluids under the skin) to help with chronic dehydration

• Frequent bloodwork to monitor his kidneys and electrolytes

• A specialist ultrasound to confirm if he has an adrenal tumor

• And if the tumor is confirmed and hasn’t spread, the only cure is surgery with a specialist

The costs are overwhelming. Even without surgery, ongoing care, medications, and monitoring will be thousands of dollars a year. If surgery is needed, it could be $3,000–$6,000 or more — something my family simply cannot afford on our own.

I don’t want money to be the reason Zeus doesn’t get a chance. He’s still purring, still seeking out love, and still fighting. I believe he deserves the best shot we can give him.
