Naomi's car was being driven down the Rex Range by her Dad on a rainy wet day. He lost control on a sharp bend while driving carefully. Her small car is light on corners and spins out easily. Drew went over the edge and down the embankment quite deep about 15 meters down being stopped by a web of bush and vines and small sapling. Below that area was a complete straight fall down.
Thankfully Drew was unharmed with just chest pain from the seat belt and breathing difficulties from the shock. Considering the air bags failed to work this is quite a miracle in itself. Quite a scary time for him as he just underwent surgery 14 days prior after a heart attack.
Naomis car was not insured as she was unable to keep up with the payments due to the few hours a week work she gets.
The car is very damaged and will cost too much to fix due to the cars body panel damage. If its not a "right off" then alot of money will be required that she does not have. We are assuming for now that another car will be needed.
We are calling out to the community for help with funds to help Naomi have another car. We live 30 minutes out of town and it's a long drive to get anywhere.
