Help Us Honor a Loving Mother's Memory

Hello, my name is Yorceli Hernandez, and I write to you with a heavy heart. For almost three years, my mom battled a debilitating illness. She faced kidney failure, lost her vision, and ultimately, her ability to walk. Through it all, she was a loving and devoted mother, always finding a way to care for me and my brother despite her own suffering. Now that she is gone, I find myself not only grieving the loss of the most important person in my life but also taking on the responsibility of caring for my brother, who has special needs. At just a young age, I am overwhelmed with the task of providing him with the care and attention he needs, especially now when I am still trying to find my own footing in this world. My mom’s final wish was to be laid to rest beside her mother in Mexico, and I am doing everything I can to honor that.
