We have recently lost a wonderful and much loved husband, dad and grandad.

As many may know, he was ill for quite some time prior to his passing, and he spent a lot of time in The Royal Berkshire’s Cardiac Care Unit. The care he received was faultless, and we are so grateful to the wonderful team of nurses who looked after him. Some of whom, even took the time to visit him before he passed. Earlier this year, our dad also spent 10 days in ICU. It is estimated that it costs around £2500 per person, per day, to provide the intense care and support required in the ICU.

Our dad was generous man, and he was always so proud of our NHS. We know that he would want to give back to the people who helped him (and us) during his many stays in the CCU.

All funds raised will be donated to The Royal Berkshire’s Cardiac Care Unit, to help with the purchase of needed medical equipment, so they can continue to care for others, as they cared for our dad.
