Giving For Grace
I'd like to introduce you to a co-worker and friend of mine, Prince Selby. Prince moved to the US in 1998 from Guana, West Africa. Soon after, he married and had three children. Unfortunately, three plus years ago he and his wife separated due to her personal struggle with drugs. Since then he has raised his three beautiful children all on his own. They are the ONLY family he has in the States. He is a hardworking Man of God who is extremely devoted to his children.
Meet sweet Grace. She is 11 years old and Prince's youngest and only daughter. When Grace was two years old she was diagnosed with a kidney disease called FSGS (Focal Segmental Glumerulosclerosis). Over the years this has progressed to ESRD (End-Stage Renal Disease) and the doctors have now told Prince they need to prepare for a kidney transplant.
Prince currently takes Grace to Nemours for her kidney treatments three times a week. Each of these visits last around 4-6 hours. There have been times that she has been admitted due to other serious complications. Prince and her brothers have even slept at the hospital with her when this has happened.
Prince is a hard worker and very good at what he does. However, not having a co-parent or other family here to help financially or with the time needed for Grace's treatments has left him in a very dire financial situation. And now the Selby Family has to prepare for this surgery.
Grace and her family need prayers. Please consider giving to this family in need.
~Amy
P.S. Prince and I both work for two amazing Christians, Vince & Leigh Ann Horton. They are the owners of AIT Life Safety. They have graciously offered to match all donations at 50%!
