Greetings to all of Barbara's friends and family.
As most of you know, we have lost a dear beloved friend and relative. Barbara Murrietta Thomas, passed away on Monday, March 8th, but we all found out the heartbreaking news, on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Five months to the date, of her last birthday, October 10th!
I am one of Barbara's closest friends, for over 30 years but she had MANY close friends! Barbara and I met while working together at Capitol Records and we were also roommates before marriage and kids.
I am so pleased and happy, to share this story with everyone and why I created this gofundme, account on her behalf.
Barbara left Whittier right after high school, and headed straight for "Hollywood", if you knew Barbara well, she embodied the Hollywood Image and lifestyle. She lived and worked always in Hollywood!
With the blessings of her sister Tina and other family members, they have graciously, agreed to allow her friends and I to have her buried at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery! Isn't just fitting for Barbara, to get laid to rest? It's the perfect location. She would love it and we are so happy to put this into motion.
So, we are aware that her sister Tina has created an initial gofundme for Barbara, prior to me asking her to consider, the final resting place and to hold the memorial at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. That is fine, because that fund will cover the cost to have Barbara cremated, while she currently resides in Upland at the Monrovia Funeral Home. Tina, raise some funds to cover those expenses and will hold on to Barbara's Urn, so that we can all lay her to rest at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, in a few weeks.
So to be clear, these funds from this gofundme are going directly to cover the expenses for an Interment, the Memorial and Cremation niches on the premises at Hollywood Forever, for our dear friend Barbara. We want to make sure she is laid to rest in the most beautiful of ways that will honor her as we all say goodbye.
As you all know, Barbara was divorced, and had no children or policy in place. Therefore we are asking for your support, so that we can all do right by Barbara as I know she is looking down, and saying "OK, LT make it happen" girlfriend.
