Help Luca

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits to introduce you to our precious baby boy, Luca, who is just 5 months old. Recently, Luca was diagnosed with a rare and devastating condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1. This genetic disorder severely impacts Luca’s ability to swallow, breathe, and move. Without treatment, children with SMA Type 1 have a very short life expectancy.

After numerous medical consultations and tests, we learned that there is hope for Luca through an innovative treatment available in the United States. The drug, Zolgensma, is known as the world’s most expensive therapy, costing around $2.1 million. This gene therapy offers a real chance to significantly improve Luca’s quality of life. Unfortunately, we cannot afford this treatment on our own, which is why we are turning to the generosity of people like you.

The funds raised will be used to cover the cost of Luca’s treatment, as well as medical expenses, travel, and accommodations during our stay in the United States. Luca is a joyful baby with a smile that brightens our days despite all the challenges he faces. He is a born fighter, and we have faith that, with your help, he can grow up healthy and happy.
