Help Save Stepmom Station

Next month, Stepmom Station will be 10 years old. However, we're in danger of closing down due to server costs, programmer costs and all other costs associated with running a website. We began on a shared server, but quickly utilized all of that space and had to be moved to a bigger server and eventually, our own; dedicated server. The cost is significantly more, but as this site was created completely from scratch, personalized and using no "canned" website maker, and with the amount of posts and photos, etc. contained on the site, we have a lot of data and cannot operate on a shared server.
When I became a stepmother, 15 years ago, I had ideas of how I thought it would be. It proved to be different than what my thoughts were. It's more than just living with someone else's child. You have outside sources that are involved in your own family decisions, how you use your time, financial situations and the like. You have emotions that are new to you and you're not quite sure how to deal with. As with most things, other people have their ideas as well, as to what a stepmother should do or not do; be or not be. Like anything else, unless you're in a situation, while you may think you know how you would respond to it, but until you actually are, you don't. If I had not found other stepmothers who are in the same situation and knew exactly what it was like, I don't know if my situation would've been as good as I've been lucky enough for it to be. Other stepmoms were able to sympathize and relate and advise on specific situations and tell me if I was being irrational in other situations. The support is priceless. That's why I decided a decade ago, to begin my own site. I have never charged or had ads because the idea was for those of us who have been there, to help those who were new to it. I didn't want to turn anybody away because they didn't want to (or couldn't) pay. It was never about money. I do not take a salary from this website. (that is not to say that I have never gotten money through the site, but it's not regular and it's minimal) In general, I do not make money from Stepmom Station. I don't need to make money from it, but I do need money to keep it going. Unfortunately, this has become more difficult with times being what they are and my losing my original programmer. The application process is currently not functioning properly, so I can't even get new people, which is the ultimate objective. There are other bugs and the annual server fee coming due.
Believe me, I realize that there are other, more pressing issues in the world. I'm in no way implying this is a life or death situation. I just truly believe that we have helped people stay married, helped people better their relationships with their stepchildren, and helped people stay sane through sometimes crazy situations. I'd very much like to continue that.
