I lost my son, Zachary to a drug overdose in December.
His sister, Jessica is still an active addict and homeless in San Francisco. It has taken a long time to find her and I need to rescue her before it is too late.
I cannot lose another child to this fentanyl epidemic.
I am putting my things into storage and going to San Francisco to get the ball rolling toward saving my daughters life. I have secured a room to rent and am seeking employment, as I need to support myself during this mission. I have no idea exactly what lies ahead. I had planned on moving to Florida in May but since locating Jessica and seeing what horrible shape she is in,, my heart broke all over again and changed my plan. I need to go to San Francisco. Moving, finding employment, finding Jessica (exact location unknown but have a person for contact), storing my things, maneuvering the city, etc. are all going to require funding. In addition, we have not yet had a memorial service for Zachary on the east coast, which is scheduled for June.
I had three children and two who suffer(ed) from bipolar disorder chose to turn to hard drugs rather than the prescribed medications.
I intend to continue advocating for mental health awareness and getting the drugs off the streets. We need big change.
Jessica is 34, bright and talented. She can have a bright future. I intend to assure that she has a future, period.
It is too late for my beautiful son. Forever 25. Please Help Save Jessica!
Jessica and Zachary’s sister, Lauren and I thank you for your support.
UPDATE: Jessica needs immediate medical attention and is refusing it. I spend hours looking for her each week, often with no results. She needs more than just me trying to do this!
