Jessica's Battle
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Roger, and I'm fundraising for my cousin, Jessica. After seeing a doctor for what Jessica thought was a clogged ear, turned out to be nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Timing for cancer is never good, but the timing could not have been more devastating in her situation.
Jessica recently married her best friend and soul-mate, Daniel. She has always loved children and dreamed of having kids of her own. For whatever reason, it seemed that it would be just that, a dream. However, with the help of fertility doctors, IT FINALLY HAPPENED!
Jessica's "miracle baby," Audrey, was born just a few months ago. Then, just when it seemed as though everything was perfect, a loving husband, a beautiful step-daughter and the baby she's longed for, the news that no one wants to hear came. "You have cancer."
Imagine the shock after going to the doctor to treat something you assume is minor but then get told that you have cancer. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (also known as NPC) is a rare tumor of the head and neck which originates in the nasopharynx. The nasopharynx is located at the very back of the nose near the Eustachian tubes.
Unfortunately, surgery is not an option due to the tumor's location. However, everyone, including her doctor, is optimistic that this can and will be beaten. Jessica is currently being treated with large amounts of chemo and radiation and will continue to do so for several months.
Jessica is one of the most caring people you could meet. She would be the first to help out any person or animal in need. Unfortunately, going through something like this has created a financial burden for a family that has just started. Contributing whatever you can afford will allow Jessica, Daniel, Haven and Audrey to spend time together with less worry during an already stressful time. Please help the person that would help you.
