Help Me Recover After Major Spine Surgery
Hi everyone,
This is incredibly difficult for me to write, but after much thought and encouragement, I’m reaching out for support and I hope there is no judgment.
Just four weeks ago, I underwent two major spine surgeries, performed over two days, followed by a five-day hospital stay. These procedures were absolutely necessary, but they’ve also left me facing a long and difficult road to recovery — estimated at 6 to 12 months.
Right now, I’m bedridden most of the day and only able to walk slowly around my home. I can’t ride in a car for long, and I’m not allowed to drive at all. Every small task is a struggle — even things like cooking, getting dressed, and personal care take a huge toll on me physically and mentally.
To make things more difficult, the benefits I had been receiving are currently under review and have been paused. I haven’t received any income in several weeks, and I’m falling behind on every front — rent, bills, groceries, basic necessities. I’ve tried to stay positive, but the financial strain is becoming overwhelming, especially while I focus all my energy on healing.
I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, and to be honest, I’m embarrassed to share this publicly. But I know I can’t do this alone.
If you’re in a place to help — whether it’s by donating, sharing this post, or just sending a few kind words — I would be deeply grateful. Every bit of support helps me stay focused on recovery without the constant worry of how I’ll make ends meet.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for being part of my community. Your kindness means more than you know.
With love and gratitude
