Phil Balcastro, is a tough guy on the outside, and a man with a huge heart on the inside, a man who has devoted his life to being a hard worker, devoted husband and father, needs your help.
Phil was experiencing some stomach pain and wanted to see a doctor before leaving on an unexpected road trip to see our daughter in Florida, who had just given birth prematurely to twin boys that were admitted to the NICU.
The first diagnosis was an ulcer, but after being admitted to the hospital on June 10th, and after a battery of tests and surgery, was given the diagnosis of Stage IV terminal lung cancer, which has metstatiszed to the stomach and lymph nodes. While his cancer is aggressive, inoperable and incurable, we will continue to seek second opinons and alternative treatments to do everything that we can to help him fight this disease. We believe in miracles.
Phil is a veteran and served in the U.S. Army, 1st Company, 13th Armor inIllesheim, Germany and served for six years.
Phil is a family man, married for 32 years, has three children and four grandchildren, two of which he has not met yet! Phil is the "godfather" of our family, always willing to help anyone and everyone he could, whether it be family, friends, local charities, or a homeless person on the side of the road. He is a very proud person, and not one to ask for help, but financial assistance is required for medical bills and equipment that will not be covered by limited medical insurance. If possible, we would also like to give financial support to the family to help provide Phil with some wonderful experiences off his bucket list during the remainder of his life.
Please consider making a donation. Any amount you wish to donate is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your prayers, support and generosity.
