John Dodd was an honorable, charismatic, intelligent, respectful man with a universal sense of humor. He was one of a kind. He touched the hearts of many. John was a cherished, loving husband and caring father! These attributes are what truly shined when those around him got to hear about his 12-year-old twins Mary Jean, Michael and 20-year-old son, Max. His love and admiration for his wife, Jean was evident every day.
It is with them where our prayers and love are with today. In these difficult moments of life is when the love that John shared with the world comes back to provide the support and comfort that they deserve and need!
At SIUH Northwell case management department, John was more than just a coworker; he was a beacon of light in our department. His infectious optimism, unwavering positivity, and genuine compassion touched every one of us. Whether it was a kind word, a warm smile, or his ability to lift spirits even on the toughest days, John had a way of making us feel seen, heard, and valued. His presence was a gift, and his absence leaves a profound void.
John was a true warrior battling multiple rounds of this terrible disease. Even with cancer deteriorating his health he was full of care and love for those around him.
We ask that you are able to and find it in your hearts to provide a small amount of support for John’s family in this difficult time!
May you rest in peace our dear friend John.
