Help a Trans Woman Escape an Abusive Household

My name is Christian, and for nearly a year now, I've been playing in an online DND game with a friend of mine that I'll call "Astrid." The above picture is her; it's just that for the sake of her safety, I'll be censoring her face and referring to her by an alias since her abusers keep track of her social media.

Astrid is a trans young adult who has been living with an emotionally abusive family in deep south Texas. Due to the stress of her daily life, she has depression, anxiety, and (undiagnosed but fairly certain) PTSD. On top of that, she also has a bad left leg that requires crutches, and Autism, which further compounds her issues.

As for her family, they are anti-trans and deny issues regarding her gender, use money that could go toward her medical expenses for weekly trips with her sister, and deny her medical issues as "trying to get attention," to the point where she has to beg her mom to get a diagnosis. Even when she got a new allergic reaction, her parents postponed going to the ER despite the obvious danger she was in.

If she tries to complain about the unfairness, or how her disability makes her daily life difficult (taking out the trash and going up and down stairs can be made painful with her leg the way it is), they punish her for it by throwing away the clothes she intended to wash because she didn't take them out in time, and taking away her internet for not taking out the trash due to the pain it causes her leg.

There are several more examples I could give of her family making her situation worse. Overall, they are generally awful people who deny her pain and gaslight her into thinking it's not their fault.

Recently, Astrid has sent out a Reddit post asking for advice on what to do in her situation, and her parents (who were apparently stalking her account) confronted her about it, and plan to make her leave by the end of the month if she doesn't get a job. Job hunting in Texas is already difficult enough as a trans person with depression, and considering their track record of twisting the truth, there is a high chance that they will kick her out anyway.

The rest of the group and myself are currently doing what we can to offer resources to help her move out safely. Donations will go towards helping her move out of state, and any excess will go towards living expenses. Any amount donated or post shared is a huge help.
