Sunday night, Beau was rushed to the hospital after confronting a 50 lb. coyote in our backyard. The coyote picked him up by the mouth and carried him 20 feet until he was miraculously dropped as we chased after our beloved puppy into the woods.

Beau spent five days in the ICU at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston after successfully completing surgery a couple of hours after the incident. He suffered 5 broken ribs and a punctured lung (losing 2 out of his 5 lung lobes). We are all very grateful he is still with us.
