Portable Oxygenxygen Concentrator needed

Hi my name is Sherri Zamarron and I am trying to raise money to buy a portable oxygen concentrator for my mom. She was diagnosed with respiratory failure in November of 2020 due to Covid - 19 pneumonia /ARDS. After her admittance to LDS Hospital she developed post Covid organizing pneumonia and required a prolonged steroid taper and has had persistent hypoxemia. Due to her respiratory condition and critical illness of myopathy, she has profound deconditioning and limited functional capacity. She has a moderate-severely reduced restrictive process on pulmonary function testing with associated moderate decrease in diffusion capacity. Imaging has shown persistent parenchymal infiltrate/fibrosis. I know that is alot to take in and understand but it basically means is she has chronic shortness of breath because her lungs were left scarred from the pneumonia and she can not do basic activities such as showering or making herself a meal with out becoming short of breath . She also developed many other post covid symptoms such as involuntary muscle movement /twitching , muscle pain, severe migraines, short term memory loss, difficulties with speech at times, irritability with noises and startles easily. Some days seem to be harder for her to cope with all these symptoms . When she leaves the house (which is not often) she uses an oxygen tank on wheels and has to pull it around with her .

This is very difficult for her because she doesn't have the strength like she used to and she tends to get hurt when she attempts to get in and out of the car. I want be able to make life a lot less frustrating and relieve some of the anxiety and stress she gets when having to leave the house. A portable oxygen concentrator is the size of a purse that she can wear on her shoulder and weighs no more than 10lbs. Such as this one

.I know if she can get one of these she will get out more and maybe she will began to enjoy some of the things she used to do like going to the thrift stores or to watch a movie even going out to eat at the restaurants she loves but most importantly she will be able to attend our family gatherings and spend time with all her grandkids .
