Hi, my name is Adriana Alvarez. I am a 38-year-old mother of three who wants to continue to live. So here is a glimpse of my life while fighting Breast Cancer continuously for five years. Five years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer. I have had multiple surgeries and endless rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and medication. You name it; I did it. I then stayed cancer free for eight months but was unfortunately re-diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. My cancer began to spread throughout my body and is currently active in my liver. Fighting breast cancer for five years has been the most brutal battle in my life. I've prayed countless times for a miracle not only for myself and my health, but for my children. As I have an 18 year old daughter, a 13 year son and 10 year old son. Who I have protected day by day throughout their life along with my own day to day strugless with stress and fear of my cancer battle. I have never been one to ask for help but today I found myself out of hope after the news I recieved from my doctor yesterday. The words that came out of my doctors mouth is what brings me here today to voice my story. My doctor saying the words "their is nothing else I could for you" replayed in my head numerous times last night and made me realize that I needed to seek out more opinions from different doctors which my family helped me seek. Baja California has given me the news that I will be able to get another chance at fighting for my life and have given me hope that there is still something I can do. I have never asked anyone for help financially because I was given coverage here in the U.S. but now that I have seeked for help in mexico where everything is paid in cash I am in desperate need of help. I promised to myself never to loose faith because I know miracles exists and mine is yet to come. I will continue to fight with everything I got in me so that I can continue to live life for my kids, family, and myself. I pray for a longer life because I am a mother who wants to see her kids grow into adulthood and see all the great things that the future holds for my beloved kids. My intentions are not only to ask for help but to also spread awarness to others in my position to not ignore the bumps you feel on your breast or don't settle for less and ask for more opinions. Recieveing help is something that would be so significant to me because I will be given another chance at living life. Anything helps, I understand we all have our own lives, which is why their isn't enough words I can put together to thank you enough for your support with money for my cancer treatment. Each dollar given to me is greatly appreciated and a step closer to my miracle.
