Funeral Costs for My Mother

On New Years Eve morning Sandra Lynn Nikou was taken from us unexpectedly.  She was married to her high-school sweetheart Spiro Nikou for 38 years.  In the words of my father she was "the love of his life".  She was also  an older sister to two brothers Scott and Doug Watson, a daughter to Evelyn Watson and a mother to Katina and Ashley Nikou.  However there were times when it felt like she was everyone's mother at some point.  Through the years she babysat all the neighborhood kids, offered advice to endless teenagers during that awkward time, and provided tons of laughter and comedy along the way.  (I am sure we all have a memory we could reflect on).  She loved people and people loved her.  Aside from her sense of humor, her heart was probably my favorite thing about her. She was the biggest advocate for love and affection, and it definitely shaped whom my father, sister and I became in this lifetime.  Sadly over the years tough times fell on my parents, both of whom were on disability, which unfortunately left them without the appropriate means to prepare for an unexpected event such as this.  Due to  financial limitations, a proper funeral for my mother is not an option at this time.  I created this campaign in hopes of quickly turning this around and giving Sandy the proper goodbye she deserves and the much needed closure my family is in search of.  Any contribution big or small helps more than you'll ever know.  As always, my family and I are very grateful for your continued love and support.  We felt it when Ashley was hit with her trauma and we feel it now.   Thank you for taking the time to read this and God bless.
