Hi everyone! Thank you for taking a moment to read our story. My name is Carrington, and this sweet face is Mr. Grapes — a 6-year-old, born-and-bred New Yorker with a huge heart and a tough past.

Mr. Grapes spent the last two years in shelters after being abandoned, waiting patiently for someone to give him a second chance. When I met him, I knew he came with medical challenges, but I also knew he deserved love, stability, and a real home. I adopted him fully committed to helping him heal — but his medical needs are turning out to be far greater than I can manage alone.

Mr. Grapes is currently being treated for severe allergies and a heart condition that requires ongoing monitoring, medications, and specialized care. I understand allergies may sound like a vague and minor issue- but for example, he recently ripped off his paw pad from itching so badly. His medical bills are quickly adding up, and we’re facing an estimated $10,000 in costs to get him healthy and stable.

Despite everything he’s been through, Mr. Grapes is gentle, goofy, and endlessly grateful for every belly rub, toy, and cozy blanket he has- He just needs a little help from kind people who believe every dog deserves a chance to thrive.
