On the morning of November 8th, the fast-growing Camp Fire burned through the city of Paradise, California, and several surrounding communities. Within very little time the fire devasted the entire area. My niece, Lauren, her husband Kyle and their 6-month-old baby girl, Adeline, had to quickly evacuate the area. They were able to get their dogs, Daisy and Charlie and make it to Chico safely. As of now, we don't know the whereabouts of their kitty, Jack, who they weren't able to locate before they were forced to leave.
Lauren was born and raised in Chico and Kyle moved here to attend Chico State, where they met and fell in love. They bought their first home in Paradise and married in 2017 have chosen to stay in the community and start their family. Now with their home and belongings gone and only what they could grab quickly, they are going to have to start over rebuilding their lives and home from scratch. They are both incredibly strong people who would do anything for you and we want to do whatever we can to help them in their time of need. They aren't ones to ask for help, but this tragedy is beyond what two young people should have to deal with on their own.
If you can help, your donation will help this wonderful family get back on their feet. Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you can share this fundraiser with others whether you are able to donate or not, it would be very much appreciated.
