Infertility is something many people don’t see—but it quietly shapes lives in ways most can’t imagine. For nearly a decade, my family and her friends have watched my sister carry both the hope and heartbreak that come with wanting a child and not knowing if that dream will come true. She has faced this journey with both strength and grace, and now she’s at a point where a real opportunity to start a family is possible with our help.

My sister’s journey with infertility began in 2016, when she was first diagnosed with fertility issues. That diagnosis led to a long battle with depression and anxiety, and for nearly a decade, she has worked to turn her pain into something meaningful. As a therapist for children, she has found a way to connect through vulnerability and compassion, pouring the love she longs to give her own child into the lives of those she helps. Becoming a mom has always been her dream—something she’s never been afraid to share with the people around her.

Six years ago, she met the man who is now her husband, and were married just last year. Their relationship, like many, has faced challenges, but through honesty, patience, and growth, they have continued to choose each other every step of the way. They even got married while hiking—a beautiful symbol of their commitment to face life’s obstacles side by side. Infertility has remained one of their hardest battles, but they are holding onto hope. IVF offers a real chance for them, with strong odds of success, but it also comes with a heavy financial burden. While her current job helps cover part of the fertility treatment costs, there are still significant expenses that are not covered. They are seeking help to bridge that gap so they can move forward with this next step.

I don’t believe anyone is more deserving of becoming a parent than another, but I do know how much love, strength, and hope my sister and her husband carry for this next chapter.
