Mauro Gnecco Medical Rehab Fund
Donation protected
The Gnecco Family (Mauro, Cristina, Nicola, Caterina & Matteo) went on a family vacation to Cozumel the first week of August. They had a fabulous vacation & for that I am thankful as little did they know that a great tragedy was about to take place.
On August 17, 2015 Mauro Gnecco was at work when he had a massive stroke. Mauro's co-workers sprang to action & got him to the hospital within minutes of this tragedy. Cristina Gnecco rushed to the hospital to be by her husbands side only to be told that the prognosis was extremely grave and not to expect her husband to ever come home.
Mauro has fought hard for the 45 days in rehab & will be released from the hospital (barring any unforseen circumstances) on October 17, 2015. Mauro remains paralyzed on the right side of his body & has just recently been able to stand and start taking steps again. Unfortunately Mauro is not able to speak or use his right arm. The families insurance will not cover the needed rehabilitation equipment & medical bills continue to come in regularly.
Gnecco Family needs help to raise money to purchase the NESS H200 hand rehabilitation system for Mauro Gnecco and needs help the family with their continued medical expenses.
Mauro will be able to get a two month trial of the NESS H200 rehabilitation system, but then he will need to pay for the device out of pocket which costs $7,000.
Mauro is a strong and passionate man whose love for his family and friends is always evident. If someone was in need, He always found a way to help provide & always took the opportunity to send a note of recognition to friends & co-workers. Mauro is the sole-provider for his wife & 3 children & his stroke has prevented him from working for the last 2 months. His long road to recovery will keep him from being able to provide for his family for a long time to come.
As a friend of the Gnecco family, I would go to any length to help them get the necessary medical equipment they need. I know that if I were in Cristina's position that Mauro would be right there to help in any way possible.
It would mean the world to myself and the Gnecco Family if we could raise the funds needed to help Mauro get the medical equipment he needs.
Please consider helping us raise these funds, any donation will be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thank You.
We will also be hosting a benefit for the Gnecco Family in November- more details to come. If you have any items, gift cards, gift certificates you wish to donate please let us know.
Thank you.
