Hi my names Tina and I’m the mother of Daniel Watson.
On 24th June, our hearts were shattered when we lost our beloved son, brother and father, Daniel.
Daniel was a fit, healthy young lad, full of life, laughter and endless energy. He had a way of making everyone around him smile, and his kindness and sense of humour will never be forgotten.
In April of this year, Daniel started experiencing pain in his right side. By the end of April, all our world was turned upside down as he was diagnosed with stage 4 oesophageal cancer that had already spread to his liver and lymph nodes. It all happened so quickly.
The hardest part for Daniel was knowing that his beautiful little boy, Riley, who is just 6 years old, would have to grow up without his dad. Riley was always the apple of Daniel’s eye, and being his father was the greatest joy of his life. The thought of leaving him behind broke Daniel’s heart, but his love for Riley never wavered.
Sadly, chemotherapy didn’t agree with Daniel, and despite his incredible strength and determination, his time with us became heartbreakingly short. On 24th June, surrounded by the love of his family, Daniel took his last breath.
As a family, we are heartbroken and are asking for your help to give Daniel the send-off he truly deserves. We are raising funds to help cover the cost of his funeral and to ensure Riley has a beautiful place where he can visit his dad and keep his memory alive for years to come.
Every donation, no matter how small, will mean the world to us. If you are unable to donate, we would be incredibly grateful if you could share this page with others.
Daniel’s funeral will take place on 7th July at 12:40pm at Blacon Cemetery,Chester. There will also be a donations box on the day in aid of Maggie’s Centre,Clatterbridge hospital. This is a place that meant so much to Daniel finding it peaceful and where he always felt welcomed and supported throughout his journey.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity and support during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation and every share helps us honour Daniel’s memory and give him the farewell he deserves.
Daniel will be loved, missed and remembered forever by everyone he touched the lives of.
