SHIRLEY TULLIS RAY FIRE TOOK HOME!

Shirley Tullis Ray and her disabled husband Bob,  lost their home and all contents (100%) to the raging forest fire called The Butte Fire in Calaveras & Amador Counties in Northern California.

They have been in Mountain Ranch,  CA since 2002.
They lived in a mobile home which, unfortunately, was not insured.  We know that FEMA and the Red Cross will lend a hand in helping to replace housing, possibly even low cost loans. 

What I am trying to do for my life long friend since Park Junior High Days is;  GET THEM SOME CASH QUICKLY so they can begin purchasing INSTANTLY things they need for themselves and their 17 year old grandson, who they are raising.  I had to choose a $ number for the head line above....what number do I choose? 

This $15,000 number came to mind as it would get them through the hardest time in their entire lives.....they are HOMELESS and need to move to the San Andreas area in order to allow their grandson to finish high school at S.A.H.S.   They need cash to pay a deposit, first months rent, etc.  They have NO furniture, sheets, pots & pans....nothing!!! Everything perished....they are starting over 100% at this age..........makes tears in my eyes.  Shirley is in her late 60's.....Bob is in his 80's.......imagine starting over again.........

Shirley & Bob will know it is from our hearts, no matter the amount....ANY amount would be apprecited to help them.  I know many of us have already given donations to the American Red Cross......and donated items from our own households to be distributed to evacuees.  If you are able to donate to Shirley & Bob, great, if you are unable, that is fine too.  I kindly ask you all to keep them in a prayer, as we all know prayer is the greatest gift we could possibly give to them.

I keep remembering when I first met Shirley back in 1960...we would lock arms and walk down the hallway of Park Junior High School and say out loud to everyone "move over, the SHIRLEY'S ARE HERE!"
We would laugh and laugh and laugh!!  We were likely the two LOUDEST GALS AT PARK JUNIOR HIGH!!

The photo you see above is of us now....I am on the left and Shirley Tullis Ray is on the right....see?  We are STILL laughing!!  God bless each and every one of you for reading this....and believe me, He is blessing me daily!  Shirley & Bob Ray are in a bad spot in their lives, perhaps we can all bless them in a prayer or if you are able, to make a contribution to give them a "boost"......yup, PRAYERS & A BOOST!!   Love, the OTHER SHIRLEY  (Menasco)

p.s. AGAIN;  I decided to change the goal from $15,000 to $30,000 for this reason:  The San Andreas area is going to be OVERFLOWING WITH evacuees....Shirley & Bob and their grandson have NO WHERE TO LIVE.  They are going to need to PURCHASE A MOBILE HOME TO LIVE IN......there is no way on earth they would be able to find a mobile home for $15,000, so I decided to UP THE GOAL TO $30,000 AS THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A SINGLE WIDE MOBILE FOR CLOSE TO $30,000.....I hope you all understand my reasoning.......with love, Shirley Circo Menasco (The OTHER Shirley)
