Yesterday on January 30th, 2017 my friend/neighbor, Sherry, her son, Joseph, and the love of her life, John, they weren't far from home when they were involved in an automobile accident. John was killed instantly, Joe airlifted to one hospital and Sherry to another hospital. Her youngest home with neighbors/friends. I will add a news link when one is available.
John and Sherry’s life started in Oregon in 1989 and they were together for 7 years. They split and continued their lives separate for 12 years. After Sherry found herself alone with 2 young boys, she couldn’t stop thinking about John. In 2007 she spent $40 for a one year membership on a people search website. It produced a phone number that she called and called until finally someone answered! That someone was, in fact, John! In 2008 they were reunited!
John told Sherry to come move to Texas and he would raise her two sons, Joseph and Joshua, as if they were his own and he also promised to buy her a home. Fast-forward to 2017… he made good and kept his promises to Sherry, and she has a home and the boys had a dad.
John was a private and humble man with a big heart for dogs, children, charity, & Sherry! He loved Sherry and her sons and worked hard to make his promises to them come true. He donated to children & cancer charities that were dear to his big heart. His light has gone home too soon, he wanted to take his family back to Oregon to stay, then this happened.
I am starting this fund to help John make good on his promise for them to move back to Oregon, if they still choose to do so, and to help with any unexpected expenses; medical, funeral, travel, groceries, etc. I am setting it at a modest amount because John was a modest guy as far as I’m concerned. I don’t know how these accounts work exactly, so if needed I will make another account.
